San Sebastian Gastronomika tribute to José Andrés

The humanitarian work carried out by the chef José Andrés has earned him the recognition of San Sebastian Gastronomika – Basque Country.
The Tribute Prize will go José Andrés, the Asturian chef based in Washington, for his humanitarian work and his permanent commitment to solidarity. The ONG that he heads, World Central Kitchen, is a rapid-response organisation able to provide tens of thousands of meals a day all over the world in the most difficult circumstances.
With its headquarters in Washington, World Central Kitchen is present in Haiti, Puerto Rico or in Colombia, where it is helping thousands of Venezuelan refugees. With the Covid-19 crisis, this organisation has now arrived in Spain and is providing food assistance for people affected by this health crisis.
