Chisco Alonso
Chef at La Garrocha (Valladolid, Spain)

Chisco Alonso acknowledges that he has learned more in the kitchen than from books. When he was very young, he warned his father that he did not like studying and that he wanted to work in a kitchen. So began a journey that took him to San Sebastian, where he worked at Michelin-starred restaurants Panier Fleuri and Urepel.
In the end, he moved back to Valladolid and, after working in some of the city's restaurants, decided it was time to open his own business. And so, Alonso opened La Garrocha, a place from which he prepares fun cuisine that is ideal for sharing and that pays homage to the products of his homeland.
