Alfredo Taboada

Lecturer at BCC

After a fruitful professional career, Taboada now dedicates his efforts towards teaching.

Alfredo Taboada comes from a family of restaurateurs. He grew up in the kitchen learning everything from his mother, and at the age of 17 he started at the catering school in Vitoria. After completing his studies, he worked in Michelin-starred restaurants such as “Zaldiaran”, “Alkimia” and “Casa Marcelo”, among others, until he arrived in London, where Nieves Barragán put him in charge of the “Barrafina” restaurant, where they were awarded a Michelin star.

After a 17-year career, he ended up at the Basque Culinary Center, where he has been teaching the master's degree in cooking, technique, products and creativity for the past three years.
