Continuing our journey together

You all know very well that San Sebastian Gastronomika-Euskadi Basque Country is a story of challenges, of more and more complex challenges year after year. However, we could never have imagined that we would be faced with such a difficult and unfair challenge as that of the pandemic. 

You all know very well that San Sebastian Gastronomika-Euskadi Basque Country is a story of challenges, of more and more complex challenges year after year. However, we could never have imagined that we would be faced with such a difficult and unfair challenge as that of the pandemic. But we are made of the stuff of dreams and this year, we will be using a format that has to be virtual, even though many of the presentations and activities are live. We have once again managed to find a solution against the odds, and, far from being discouraged, we have increased the congress to five days with an ensemble of top-level chefs from the Basque Country, Spain and the whole planet (with a spatial focus-twinning with Italy), many of them for the first time in Europe. All these chefs, with their innovative concepts and their own cooking styles (neo-bistronomy, black American cuisine, post-Covid solutions, the future of haute cuisine, etc.), represent the different and fascinating “paths” that are opening up to gastronomy after the pandemic.

The 2020 congress will be different. Yes. But more inspiring. Better.

As always, the whole team will be there to give you our loving support.

And to offer you our dream once more. Because we will never stop moving forward...
